Goings On: Spring Cleaning

I find running my own business challenging at times with all the demands of being a great mother, wife and friend too but somehow manage to keep all the balls in the air.
Keeping my space organized and clean is key for me but again things slip and weeks go by. Piles of paper and books build up and when it’s too much, I take a day to file, dust and rearrange.

There are always the longer term projects too – shelves need to be built, old artwork archived and there’s the big empty space above my desk that’s been crying out for a pin board. Spring is a great time for this so with the birds chirping outside we’re decluttering and straightening up. Watch that space for a pin board!

Some of my favorite commissioned work is projects with small organizations that give me lots of creative freedom. One such project is under way and cannot be revealed yet but I can share some initial sketches and let’s just say my desk is brimming with farm animals.
