Some nice Japanese press and our Winter retreat

I’m writing this beside the pool in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic.

It’s our third time here and becoming our bi-annual family Winter break.
Las Terrenas is on the Samana peninsula and being a little off the
beaten track it’s perfect for us. It’s a favorite hang out for French and Italians
so there’s all the local culture with smatterings of boulangeries and
amazing Italian restaurants. The beach is incredibly undeveloped
and easy to stroll to beautiful coves and shallow reefs.
Today we’re off to hopefully see some whales.

I’ll post some photos and illustrations when I return but, in the meantime
this lovely photo of me and my boys came to my inbox a few days
ago and I wanted to share it.
