ABOUT CLAUDIA

Originally from London, Claudia moved to NYC when she was 25 in the midst of the mid-90s creative explosion happening in downtown NYC. Claudia did a variety of jobs as she was getting her bearings, including a stint at a PR firm as well as a time assisting rising star stylists. All the while, she remained laser-focused on her illustration career.

As Claudia began to establish herself and solidify her style, she began to get commissioned by reputable editorial clients like The New Yorker, Travel and Leisure, and The New York Times, and began to do projects for companies outside of the magazine world, including Chronicle Books, Publix, and West Elm.

In 2008, Claudia's first children's book, entitled Tribal Alphabet, was published, and it won a Silver Moonbeam Award and the Stuart Brent Award for its contribution in promoting multicultural awareness in children's literature, which was a great honor.

In 2010, Claudia launched her eponymous range of products for the home, inspired by her love for community, passion for travel, and deep respect for the environment.

Recently, Claudia has been finding ways to incorporate her interests in experiencing nature through hiking and wilderness retreats into some new, exciting offshoots from her CP line, including the newly launched Ebb and Flow line.

She continues to paint and experiment in new mediums, so watch this space.

Claudia's work is hand drawn and painted using a variety of pencil, inks and paint.
She loves using these materials and they are fundamental to her myriad styles.
The tactile quality of her illustrations is what gives them an enduring appeal and has
translated to so many projects and products for the home over the years.

Claudia works out of her studio in historic Clinton Hill, Brooklyn surrounded by brownstones, trees and lots of light. She continuously works on commissioned projects and collaborates with major national retailers.

The Claudia Pearson line is mostly produced in the USA working closely with small businesses and it's these values that make Claudia's work special.
